As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The manuscript is written in academic English and formatted in Microsoft Word. The submission file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word in the docx document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Guidelines.

Marketing Insight welcomes original empirical research articles, conceptual papers, and case studies in the field of marketing. All manuscripts submitted must strictly follow these author guidelines to be considered for peer review.

General Requirements

The manuscript must be written in formal, high-quality academic English. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (docx). on a standard A4 paper, 2.5 cm (1 inch) margins on all sides, single-spaced, Roman font.

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished work and should not be under consideration elsewhere. Similarity scores must not exceed 20% on Turnitin (excluding bibliography and quoted material).

Manuscripts Structure

Manuscripts should generally follow the standard IMRAD structure and contain the following essential elements:

  • Title Page:
    • Title: Write the title briefly, clearly, concisely, interesting, and informative . 
    • Abstract: A structured single paragraph of 100–200 words outlining the background/purpose, method, primary findings, and key practical or theoretical implications.
    • Keywords: 3 to 5 specific keywords separated by semicolons.
  • Introduction: Clearly state the research background, academic gap, problem formulation, practical significance, and primary objective of the study.
  • Literature Review & Hypotheses: Provide a solid theoretical foundation, synthesize relevant prior studies, and clearly present the conceptual framework and hypotheses (if applicable).
  • Research Methods: Detail the research design, sample selection, measurement instruments, data collection procedures, and statistical techniques used (e.g., SEM-PLS, regression, qualitative analysis).
  • Results and Discussion: Present empirical findings clearly using structured tables and figures. Critically discuss results in light of prior research, underlying theories, and broader managerial implications.
  • Conclusion & Implications: Summarize main findings, detail theoretical and managerial implications, acknowledge study limitations, and suggest future research avenues.
  • Declarations: Include required disclosures regarding conflicts of interest, AI tool usage (if applicable), and funding sources.

Citations and References

  • Marketing Insight strictly adheres to the APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association) reference format.
  • Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.
  • Include active Digital Object Identifier (DOI) URLs for all cited references where available.
    Recency: At least 80% of the cited references should come from peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last 10 years.

Submission Process

All submissions must be uploaded through the online submission system of Marketing Insight using the PKP-OJS platform. Authors need to register an account prior to submitting their manuscript. Submit author details (names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and emails) into the OJS metadata fields during submission.
