About the Journal

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi Informasi Asia is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP2M), Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Asia Malang. The journal publishes original research and review articles in information technology, computer science, informatics engineering, computer systems, information systems, and related interdisciplinary applications.

Aim

The journal aims to disseminate methodologically sound research that advances knowledge, methods, systems, and evidence-based applications in computing and information technology. It provides a publication forum for academics, researchers, practitioners, and postgraduate students whose work contributes a clear technological, computational, methodological, or system-oriented contribution.

Scope

The journal maintains a broad computing and information-technology scope. A manuscript may address one or more of the following areas, provided that it presents a clear research problem, relevant scholarly context, an appropriate method, adequate evaluation, and an identifiable contribution.

Computing methods and intelligent systems

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, data science, natural language processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, recommender systems, forecasting, optimization, decision-support methods, computational modelling, and algorithm development or evaluation.

Software engineering and digital systems

Requirements engineering, software architecture, software design, development methods, software testing, software quality, software maintenance, web and mobile applications, cloud and distributed systems, service-oriented systems, DevOps, system integration, and empirical software engineering.

Information systems and data management

Information-system development and evaluation, database systems, data engineering, enterprise systems, business-process support, digital transformation, information governance, knowledge management, decision support, information-system adoption, and organizational use of digital technology.

Computer systems, networks, and security

Computer architecture, operating and embedded systems, computer networks, wireless and mobile networks, cybersecurity, information security, digital forensics, Internet of Things, edge and cloud computing, system performance, reliability, and infrastructure management.

Human-computer interaction and digital applications

Human-computer interaction, user experience, accessibility, interface design, multimedia, virtual and augmented reality, geographic information systems, smart environments, and digital applications in education, government, public services, health, business, tourism, agriculture, manufacturing, and other domains.

Interdisciplinary and applied research

Application-domain manuscripts are eligible when the principal contribution remains relevant to computing or information technology. The use of an information system, algorithm, application, or digital platform is not by itself sufficient. The manuscript should explain the research gap, justify the selected method, evaluate the proposed approach, and discuss findings beyond a routine implementation report.

Article types and expected contribution

The journal accepts original research articles and review articles. Original research should provide new empirical findings, methods, models, algorithms, architectures, systems, evaluations, or validated applications. Review articles should use a transparent and systematic method to synthesize the literature, identify limitations, and establish a defensible research agenda.

Submitted manuscripts are expected to state their novelty or contribution explicitly, use current and relevant scholarly references, describe the research method sufficiently, report results transparently, provide substantial analysis and synthesis, and present conclusions that directly address the stated research objectives.

Publication and peer review

The journal publishes two issues per year, in February and August. Articles are published continuously within the active issue after completing the editorial, peer-review, and production processes. Eligible manuscripts undergo single-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.
