As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission HAS NOT BEEN previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.DOC / .DOCX) document file format or Rich Text Format (.RTF)
  • The manuscript plagiarism index is below 20% by using IThenthicate or Turnitin

The following author guidelines are provided to assist you in preparing your manuscript for submission. Please follow the instructions carefully to ensure your submission meets our publication standards.

Strong Recommendation: You can use this document as both a writing guide and a template where you can type your own text.

Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi Informasi Asia accepts both original articles and review articles that adhere to the following guidelines:

 

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Each manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Language: This journal ONLY accepts manuscripts written in English.
  • Proofreading: If English is not your first language, we strongly advise using professional proofreading services (e.g., Grammarly Premium, Enago, or a certified translator) before submission.

 

2. Title Page

The title page of the manuscript must be structured as follows:

  • Title: The title of the manuscript should be written in a 14 pt font without bolding. It should be aligned to the left and not justified.
  • Authors, Affiliations, and Emails: List all authors with full names, institutional affiliations (including the city and country), and their email addresses. Include the ORCID ID for each author if available.
    • Clearly designate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and provide their email.
    • Note: The list of authors and affiliations cannot be changed after submission.
  • Abstract: The abstract must be in a single paragraph and between 150-250 words. It should include the background, objectives, methods, results, and implications of the study. Avoid mathematical equations, references, and footnotes in the abstract.
  • Keywords: 3-6 terms should be listed directly after the abstract, in alphabetical order, and formatted in 9 pt, italic, and bold.

 

3. Section Headings

  • Introduction: Provide background, define the research problem and research gap, and state the study’s objectives.
  • Method: Detail the research design, data sources, data collection methods, and analysis techniques.
  • Results: Present the results objectively (facts) without personal interpretation.
  • Discussion: Interpret the results and relate them to prior research.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the key findings, implications, and suggest future research directions.
  • References: Follow the APA 7th edition citation style. At least has 20 references and 80% of them should be from journal articles published in the last ten years. Use Reference Manager software (E.g., Mendeley or Zotero) to make all citation and bibliography consistent and up to date.
  • Appendix: Attach supplementary content if available.

 

4. Formatting and Layout

  • Font: Use Times New Roman, 9 pt for the main text.
  • Line Spacing: Single spacing with no extra spaces between paragraphs.
  • Page Layout: Use A4-size paper.
    • Top: 2 cm
    • Bottom: 1.4 cm
    • Left/Right: 1.3 cm
    • Header from Top: 1.3 cm
    • Header from Bottom: 1.1 cm
  • Text Alignment: Justify the text for body paragraphs. The manuscript should be in double-column format.

 

5. Equations and Mathematical Content

Use Microsoft Equation Editor or MathType to insert equations. Number equations consecutively and align them to the right. Provide definitions for all variables before using them in equations.

 

6. Graphics and Tables

  • Figures:
    • Vector Format (Preferred): SVG, EPS, PDF.
    • Raster Format (Accepted): TIFF, PNG.
    • Resolution: Color and grayscale images must be at least 300 dpi; line art should be 600 dpi.
  • Tables: Use tables to present data clearly. Tables should be numbered with Roman numerals and referenced in the text by their number. Do not use a screenshot as a table.
  • Captions: All figures and tables should have descriptive captions. The figure caption should be placed directly beneath the figure.

 

7. Supplementary Materials

  • Data Availability: Authors should include a Data Availability statement. If applicable, indicate if the data is available within the paper or at a publicly accessible repository.
  • Declaration of Competing Interest: Authors must declare any competing interests that could influence the results or interpretation of the study.
  • Declaration of Generative AI: Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process by adding a statement at the end of their manuscript in the core manuscript file, before the References list.
    • Note: This declaration does not apply to the use of basic tools for checking grammar, spelling, references, etc. If there is nothing to disclose, there is no need to add a statement.
    • Required Statement Format:
    • "During the preparation of this work the author(s) used [NAME TOOL / SERVICE] in order to [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the publication."
  • Authors’ Contributions: Acknowledge the contributions of each author in line with CRediT guidelines (e.g., data collection, analysis, manuscript writing).
  • Acknowledgements: Acknowledge any financial support, assistance, or contributions from individuals not listed as authors.

 

8. Review and Publication Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process. Authors will receive feedback from reviewers, and based on their recommendations, the manuscript may be accepted, revised, or rejected.

Revision Protocol: When submitting a revised manuscript, authors must include a specific response letter addressing the reviewers' comments.

9. Additional Notes

  • Biographies: Authors should include a brief biography. The biography should include educational background, current and previous positions, and research interests.
